A fat guy rubs around a weatherman in cold temperature. The guy kind of reminds me of a polar bear.
And God said, Let us make
man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over
the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the castle,
and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon
the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God
created him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and
God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth,
and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the
fowl of he air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which
is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the
fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And so
every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every
thing that creeps upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given
every green herb for meat: and it was so. Genesis 1:26-30
One of the signs of the end of this age is that people would try to impose a vegetarian lifestyle on others, but the Scriptures tell us hat every creature of God is good for food, and nothing is to be refused.
Vegetarianism is not always the blessing is made out to be. In India in 1942, three million people died of starvation. Alongside the bodies of men, women, and children lay the carcasses of hundreds of thousands of “sacred” cows-potential beef-steaks. They were God-given protein that would have saved the lives of multitudes.
One of the arguments of Vegetarianism is that all animals have rights but Genesis makes it very clear that we rule of the earth including the animals. Man is deferent then animals we are made in God's image. We are faded because of sin but still we are made in his image.
The Bible tells us that animals are created “without understanding.” Human beings are different from animals. We are made in God's “image.” As human beings, we are aware of our “being.” God is “I AM,” and we know that “we are.” We have understanding that we exist.
Among other unique characteristics, we have an innate ability to appreciate God's creation. What animal gazes with awe at a sunset, or at the magnificence of the Grand Canyon? What animal obtains joy from the sounds of music or takes he time to form itself into an orchestra to create music? What animal among the beasts sets up court systems and appoints justice to its fellow creatures? We are moral beings.
While birds and other creatures have instinct to create (nests, etc.), we have the ability to uncover the hidden laws of electricity. We can utilize the law of aerodynamics to transport ourselves around the globe. We also have the God-given ability to appreciate the value of creation. We un-earth the hidden treasures of gold, silver, diamonds, and oil and make use of them for our own benefit. Only humans have the unique ability to appreciate God for this incredible creation and to respond to his love.
But still Animal rights advocates still insist that “meat is murder” but they are misguided. God was the first to kill an animal (Genesis 3:21). In Exodus 12:5-8 God told Israel o kill and eat lambs. King Solomon sacrificed 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep when he dedicated the temple to God (1 Kings 8:63). When three angels appeared to Abraham, he killed a “tender and good' calf for them to eat (Genesis 18:7-8). In Genesis 27:7 we are told that Jacob ate venison (deer meat), which was his favorite food. Jesus ate the Passover lamb (Mark 14:12,18). In the parable of the prodigal son, the father rejoiced at his son's return by “killing the fatted calf” (which was eaten).
Before the flood killing animals for meat was forbidden but thats because there where plants every where thanks to the canopy of water overhead. But after the flood plants where not as plentiful as before so God told man to eat meat.
And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moves upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall you not eat.Genesis 9:2-4
Some will say the Bible cares nothing for animals but that is not so. In my study I came over a amazing commandment to the Israelites.
Bible does very much care about animals but we live in a sinful world and there is not always enough plants to go around, God still takes care of us by sacrificing his creations for us.If a bird's nest change to be before you in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, you shall not take the dam with the young: But you shall in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to you; that it may be well with you, and that may prolong your days.
