It seems like the fire from the Revolution has left a lasting mark on Republicans as some fear that there will be a revolt at the upcoming Republican Convention.
(Thanks to David G in the UT County meetup for watching this for us)
Also, since Dr. Paul's invitation to speak at the Nevada State Convention was announced, I have received numerous calls about Dr. Paul speaking at the Utah State Convention. Currently, we have not been invited to speak at your convention. If you would like Dr. Paul to speak at your convention, it is up to you change that. You may contact your State Party Chair, Stan Lockhart, at info@utgop.org, 801-533-9777, or 801-533-0327 (fax), asking him to extend the invitation to speak. In short, it's your State Convention and your GOP.

As a reminder, the following steps will help to improve your electoral chances greatly:
(1) identify your precinct and where its caucus will meet;For Utah county caucuses
For Salt Lake county caucuses
Other counties check with your County Clerk or GOP County Chair(2) work to identify and turn out those in your precinct who will vote for you (remember, YOU are running for office - State Delegate);
(3) coordinate with other Ron Paul Republicans in your precinct, if any, about which of you will seek which position;
(4) prepare a persuasive short "stump speech" to deliver (your belief in limited government and adherence to the Constitution);
(5) remind/encourage your supporters, as needed, to attend;
(6) arrive at your caucus early and don't advertise your Ron Paul support there;
(7) get nominated, give your speech, and hopefully get enough votes to win.
In short, YOU are running for office (state delegate), and to win your election you need more votes than the other guy, and to get votes, you have to campaign! So get out there and canvass your precinct!
Our numbers may or may not be enough to win a majority of all state delegate positions on caucus night. But, even so, whatever we win can/will still prove to be sufficient. After this election, we can start to work to convert other state delegates to Ron Paul, which will increase our odds at the state convention.
Again, it is imperative that all supporters run for state delegate. I know that there is disappointment as it appears at this time that Dr. Paul will not win the nomination, but as we transition from the Presidential campaign to the longer term fight for freedom, all supporters need to not only stay involved, but become even more involved in the Party and the process. While the short term goal has always been to elect Dr. Paul to the Presidency, the long term goal was, and is Freedom. We didn't get into this mess over night, and we won't get out overnight. One person didn't get us into this mess, and one person won't get us out either. This is about more than one man, in one election. We need to elect a "Ron Paul" in every office from President down to dog catcher. You must stay vigilant.
THEY want you to take your ball and go home. But we aren't going to do that. No, we know what is at stake, and we know we can win, and how. And the next step is to become a state delegate.
So, folks, let's get elected, convert your peers, attend your conventions, and "endure to the end" of them! You can read more about all of these matters on Utah County's Ron Paul Meetup message board--inspirational news from other states, tips for success, sample caucus speeches, et cetera. Thanks and happy campaigning!
And lastly, if you have not yet joined your local meetup, please do so so that we will effective and timely communications in the future when the campaign wraps up. You may also wish to join either 365-Salt Lake or 192-Utah County, in addition to your local meetup, as they will serve as a clearing house for statewide issues.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me.
I would like to thank everyone for their help, support and efforts during this campaign. None of it could have been done without you.

Most counties have nearly finalized their locations and will be publishing the lists shortly. Each county has a different method and we will relay the information when available.
In the meantime, keep preparing your precinct, remember YOU are running for elected office, the office of state delegate, so you need to be speaking to your friends and neighbors, securing their commitment to vote for you.
More details and info will follow next week.

There are conflicting reports that the date of the
Washington DC march is on April 15th. Due to inactivity
and non-responsiveness from the Ron Paul Campaign, and
the anxiousness of those to march, April 15th is being
pushed by members within the Ron Paul grassroots.
This is a huge mistake, We have just confirmed with
a source within the Ron Paul Campaign that they are
actively looking for a date in June to hold the march.
Americans troops describes whats really going on in Iraq.
My opponent, who describes himself as a traditional conservative, is a dedicated servitor of all the special interests who have given us the disaster of recent years, from unconstitutional wars to a looming recession, from huge deficits to massive new welfare programs.
A Republican operative allied with the worst forces in DC recently said: "Give what you can [to Ron Paul's opponent]. Ron Paul is running scared -- using his Presidential campaign's donors' money to subsidize a desperate last-minute attempt to save his Congressional seat."
That is a lie, of course. It is illegal to use presidential campaign donations in my congressional race. The congressional campaign has to stand on its own. But so far, we have raised only about a third of what a well-funded effort would need.
In my 10 terms in Congress, I have not only been able to serve my constituents, and help them, for example, negotiate federal red-tape. I have also been able to defend our principles of less spending, lower taxes, no inflation, and strict adherence to the Constitution. Some people in DC laugh at the idea that I should obey my oath of office, and ask first of any proposed legislation, is it constitutional? But I know that you share my support for the vision of the framers.
My friend Congressmen Wayne Gilchrest (R-Maryland) was just defeated in his primary election by a neocon fraud similar to the one I face. My friend Walter Jones (R-North Carolina) is under heavy pressure as well. People like our hand-picked opponents will do anything to gain and keep power. They represent everything that is wrong with DC.
If I am defeated in the upcoming congressional primary, our ideas will be held to have been defeated as well. It will be proclaimed from the rooftops in DC that such "ridiculous and outmoded notions" as the free market, sound money, personal liberty, limited government, and a pro-American foreign policy are through.
I am determined not to let this happen. All that you and I believe in is far too important to the future of our country, and to everyone and everything we love, to let the neocons dance on its grave.
Please, help me stop the lies, the distortions, the pressure groups, the special interests that benefit from DC rip-offs. There is still time to run radio and tv ads, to set up phone banks, to get out the vote. But unless you help, my reelection to Congress may be in jeopardy. Please help me return to Congress to fight for the people of my district, and for the ideas that can save our country from the path to trouble we are now on.
I hesitated to ask you, since you have already done so much. But my wife Carol said, "When you need help, you ask your best friends." So I do ask you, to hold out your hand in support.
Please give today http://www.ronpaulforcongress.com, as generously and as quickly as you can.
Sincerely,
Ron
